Overleaf Server Pro 5.3.1 is available
February 19, 2025We are pleased to announce Overleaf Server Pro 5.3.1! This release includes new features, security updates to the base image and installed packages, along with improvements and bug fixes. You can read the full release notes here.
We advise all customers to upgrade to Server Pro 5.3.1 at their earliest convenience.
What’s new?
Server Pro 5.3.1 introduces the following features:
OVERLEAF_LOGIN_SUPPORT_TEXT
can be used to provide users with helpful support information directly beneath the login button.- Use
V1_HISTORY_URL_FOR_GIT_BRIDGE
to separate internal and external traffic for thehistory-v1
endpoint. - TeX Live 2024 is now available.
What’s fixed?
- In some scenarios, a bug caused account deletion to fail when the email service wais unavailable.
Other changes
- Enhanced file upload processing, reducing disk I/O load by up to 50% for large instances.
- Security updates for the base image and packages, plus various improvements and bug fixes.
- Updated spelling service: some languages have migrated to specific variants, some are no longer supported, and new languages have been added. See the release notes for more details.
